a.k.a.

The children are now known as such:

Lila is RosalieVioletLila
Rosalie is VioletLilaRosalie
Violet is LilaRosalieViolet

I guess it happens to the best of us.

It's when you call them the dog's name is when you are in dangerous territory! :)

I do the same thing!
Caity, Emmy, Lily, then just to be funny, I look at my husband and end with "What did we call that last one?" Really frustrates Lily, the baby!

The "j" sound at the beginning of Joe, Georgia, and June....ugh. I am unintentionally calling roll around here all day. At least Waylon is a W!

My sister's name is Kristina so we grew up with "Ker..Ashley" and "Ash..stina" lol! :) I only have one child at the moment (a son named Alex) but more often than not I get his name and my husband's name mixed up too.

Mine are called Ma-Ryan and Ry-Matthew. I don't think I have called the boys by their sister's name. I have called the dog the boys' names too.

Yes, do your best to avoid including the dog.

In fraught moments our children have also been mistakenly called Lola (the dog) and Ruby, Violet or Talullah (the chickens.)I think sometimes pointing and saying, 'hey, you' should surfice.
