It's not like I wanted to eat Chick-Fil-A

This evening I asked the kids what they thought about getting some fried chicken for dinner. We rarely have it and I was really having a craving. Plus, it's something the kids usually all eat (well, except Violet. She still doesn't eat much of anything).

Without missing a beat, Lila (5) said, "No, I don't want fried chicken. It has too many trans fats. It will clog your arteries, Mom."

Ha ha ha! Kids are great aren't they? Modern kids of the new century know all about trans fats I guess. No KFC for Mommy!

I remember when my eldest was about 3 she asked her father in all seriousness: "Daddy, are you as big as a house? Or just very big?" Daddy did not look impressed.
